An unrelenting, mournful descent into complete darkness, and a 53-minute exploration of the concept of the inexorable passage of both life and time. Beginning with an unusually ornate drone constructed entirely from chanted, wordless vocals, the sensation of a bleak finality is palpable from the outset. 'Seconds Migrate Like Cattle to the Butcher' follows, a twenty-minute foray into total aural blackness, taking a lifetime to build upon itself, drawing out the splitting agony one second at a time. Tracks 3-5 comprise the 'Temporal Death' triptych, a barrage of shifting harsh noise, crackling in and out of existence before exploding into dense chaos. Completely deadly/deathly assaults.

Prairie Fire illuminati Chris (White Dog) and Cole (Gomeisa) each unleash a side-long slab of evil noise for the label’s first release. White Dog’s “Samsara” is thirteen minutes of bleak terror squeezed slowly out of the wound, replete with groaning ambience and barely contained noise threatening to tear it all apart. On the flip, Gomeisa's “Blood Letting” is a brutal onslaught of harsh feedback violence delivered with all the splendour of a back-alley surgery. Standard cassette case; printed 3-panel J-card.

Finally, a definitive statement after a long period of transition. From start to finish, SUFFER is deeply resonant with the maxim that life is suffering. Book-ended by quiet pieces of murk, drone and softest release of pain, the meat of the album is contained in track 2 and 3's sprawling harsh noise assaults. Initially composed of dense, impenetrable walls, the anguish eventually seeps into relentless high-pitched feedback and cut-ups, creating fresh wounds and exhuming those beneath the scars. Far from glorifying pain as a 'unique' artistic virtue; rather, SUFFER is a document, a statement, a temporary release of the pent-up hell that lives in each and all of us. Presented in a recycled gate fold sleeve; front cover is a photographic print w/ track names, inside spreads composed of torn-out book pages adhered w/ spattered red ink. Liner notes, etc. included scrawled on a paper insert. CDRs w/ white labels w/ handwritten text.
